Laure is a longtime friend. Before moving to Paris to study acting at Cours Florent and pursue her work as an actress, she first came from dance — which is probably why we’ve always shared a similar sensitivity toward movement, presence, and the body.
Back when she was still living in Geneva, we created several personal photography projects together. At the time, while I was still dancing professionally, I was developing more intimate photographic work around the body, movement and nudity.
Photography gradually became part of our shared experiences. We even spent time together in Greece once, where entire days unfolded around making images, following light, landscapes and spontaneous moments.
This summer, while she was back in Geneva visiting family, we decided to create something again — this time at my home, using the different spaces and atmospheres the place naturally offers.
There was no precise concept behind the session. Just an afternoon, natural light, and the desire to create images that felt honest, quiet and instinctive.
What still interests me most in this kind of work is not simply showing the body, but capturing the emotions, fragility and presence that can emerge through it.
These photographs are simply the continuation of an ongoing dialogue — built over years of friendship, trust and shared artistic curiosity.
