Cie Linga – LAND OF HOPE

Dance

Female contemporary dancer throws her head back with flowing hair under dramatic stage lighting during Land of Hope by Cie Linga.

Land of Hope brings together seven performers in a vibrant collective of movement, imagination and poetic power.

On April 24 and 25, Compagnie Linga premiered Land of Hope at Théâtre de l’Octogone.

Created by Katarzyna Gdaniec and Marco Cantalupo, the piece draws inspiration from the work of Italian poet Alda Merini — an unconventional and fearless voice whose writing continues to inspire through its intensity, freedom and humanity.

Bringing together seven performers — Aude-Marie Bouchard, Natalia Filowiat, Kinda Gozo, Lucrezia Panza, Thaïs Robin, Nathalie Schmidt and Cindy Villemin — Land of Hope celebrates individuality transformed into collective force. Through movement, presence and shared energy, the stage becomes a space of power, imagination and poetic expression.

With an original score by Mathias Delplanque, Philippe Foch and Marco Cantalupo, lighting design by German Schwab, and costumes by Geneviève Mathier, this new creation offers a vibrant and deeply human vision of togetherness.

I’m Gregory Batardon

Dance photographer

I was born in Geneva in 1971 and studied visual arts at the Collège de Genève while pursuing intensive dance training at the École de Danse de Genève.

In 2010, I stepped away from the stage to dedicate myself to dance photography.
Today, I work with leading ballet companies, contemporary dance institutions, junior companies, and schools, as well as on personal studio projects. I also photograph dancers for professional portfolios, where I draw on my experience as a dancer to guide them beyond the pose and bring out their best.
